We insist on quality reviews. Low-effort peer review reports are dismissed, and additional reviewers are recruited to ensure authors receive substantive, constructive feedback.

Free English Proofreading

All accepted papers which are in English are proofread by a professional prior to publication, free of charge.

Diamond Open Access

We are a diamond open-access journal—free for authors to publish and free for readers to access. No submission fees, no article processing charges, no subscription fees.

Authors retain copyright of their work. All articles are published under a Creative Commons CC BY license.

Stanovništvo is a long-standing, established journal, first published in 1963. For over 60 years, we have been a trusted venue for demographic research.
